2007-2009 Selected Book
“On Etruscan Time”

 (Mark Twain Award Nominee) 

Targeted to 5th or 6th grade students, this creative and comprehensive program combines literature, dance, music and art, providing students with a multi-disciplinary approach to learning.  Classroom teachers complete the selected book as a read aloud with their students. After the reading is complete, MADCO dancers enter the scene to help bring images from the book to life.  MADCO will spend 10 sessions with each group of students helping them create movement compositions based on the selected reading.  Music and art teachers are invited to join in the collaborative process to create a sound score and art related projects.  The lesson culminates in a student performance and performance by MADCO dancers.  Assistance with seeking funding for this project is provided by MADCO. 

About Town
MADCO has wowed audiences throughout the United States and Canada.  These entertaining, world class performers take movement to a new level with their own uniquely inventive and athletic style. Inspiring music, imaginative costumes and an amazing array of performers set the stage for this unforgettable show that is ready to tour to almost any venue.  “About Town” is perfect for fairs, festivals, schools, museums and special events.  The show can be performed in a 30 or 45 minute format.  Post-show Q&A session is optional. 

University Residencies
MADCO’s artistic staff enjoys inspiring dancers at the university level and is available to conduct one-week residencies.  A residency includes MADCO Artistic Director or Assistant Artistic Director plus one dancer to teach master classes, hold auditions and set a MADCO repertory piece on the students. 

Master Classes
MADCO dancers are available to teach a variety of classes for all ages and levels.  The company currently offers classes in modern dance, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, break dance, composition, improvisation and creative movement.
