Fall for MADCO.... Here's Where You Can Find Us in September and October Happy Fall! Summer is coming to a close. Kids are back at school and it's time to gear up for a new season. A season of entertaining, athletic and inspiring dance from MADCO, that is! September/October September 3 Gather your friends and a picnic dinner for a preview of MADCO's season opener "Music and Moves" along with an outdoor showing of the famous dance movie "Footloose." Dance on the Plaza For more information go to www.downtownstl.org September 11-12 Chimera (pronouced Ky MEER ah) takes St. Louis Art Fair audiences on a 40-minute journey into the world of dreams. Moving music, world-class dancers and elaborate costumes make this the perfect end to a great day at the fair! September 9-12 Presenters, BOOTH #800 September 18-19 MADCO and the University of Missouri St. Louis percussion ensemble, under the direction of Matt Henry, will rock the theater. Don't miss 4 world premieres performed to live music with a world beat. Choreography by Rob Scoggins, Cecil Slaughter, Todd Weeks and Keith Williams. For tickets go to www.touhill.org September 26 Hosted by Grand Center, where art and life intersect, families can enjoy the day long festivities at Dancing in the Street, including a special appearance by Duo Adamo, awe inspiring aerial ballet. MADCO will perform at approximately 5pm on the mainstage. October 6-8 MADCO kicks off its popular residency program "Books in Motion" for upper elementary and middle schools with student performances and a piece by MADCO dancers. The featured book for 2009-2010 is The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Caldicott winning author, Brian Selznick. October 8 St. Louis, Missouri, USA 7:00 pm October 10 Join MADCO, Brian Selznick (author of The Invention of Hugo Cabret) and 5th graders from Keysor Elementary for a reading, performances inspired by Selznick's masterpiece and book signing opportunities.
