DARRELL V. HYCHE II

DARRELL V. HYCHE II (Education Director) returns for a seventh season with Modern American Dance Company. In addition to main company dancer, Darrell has added the role of Education Director. Darrell is a graduate of Missouri State University, Springfield receiving a BFA in Dance Performance and BS in Psychology. Darrell was a member of the university’s touring performance group, The Inertia Dance Company. As a two year scholarship student at the American Dance Festival, he performed in repertory works by Merce Cunningham, William Forsythe, and Nicholas Leichter. Since then, Darrell has performed with the Springfield Ballet and the Ashleyliane Dance Company. As a dancer with MADCO, he has toured the country performing works by Bebe Miller, Jennifer Archibald, Ronen Koresh, James Gregg, Stephanie Martinez and a host of others. Darrell has also seen his own work set on MADCO, the University of Missouri - St. Louis and studios throughout the St. Louis area. Throughout his career, he continues to explore the idea of dance as a tool for mental and physical healing, in addition to being an avenue for education on various levels.
